IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari in a meeting with President Putin’s Special Envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentiev on Tuesday said Iran-Russia ties are expanding and speeding up in different fields.
He expressed pleasure for the meeting, and said that there are plenty of issues to be discussed.
Lavrentiev pointed to his meeting with Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani, and said that the axis of the talks focused on the broadening of relations.
He said that current level of ties between Tehran and Moscow is suitable and talks are for the development of relations, and added that mutual confidence between the two states is high and it helps.
Lavrentiev said holding dialogues before Astana Talks is important for us.
