Iranian ambassador to Moscow suggests Russian-Iranian media association creation



Sputnik - Iran's ambassador to Moscow suggested establishing a Russian-Iranian media association.




MOSCOW (Sputnik) Iran's ambassador toMoscow Mehdi Sanaei suggested onMonday establishing an organization, possibly an association, forRussian-Iranian media, which would help solidify existing cooperation.
"I really hope that todays meeting will help us create a certain plan tocreate a kind ofan organization forcooperation, something likean association ofIranian and Russian media so asto expand collaboration throughthis organization," Sanaei said ata Moscow meeting dedicated tothe cooperation betweenjournalists ofIran and Russia.


The ambassador said that such an organization would help put the existing cooperation ona more "consistent and solid basis."

Sanaei added that he and his colleagues fromthe Iranian embassy inMoscow would be supporting the project inany way they could.

The meeting was attended byan adviser onmass media withthe Iranian Ministry ofCulture and Islamic Guidance, Mehran Abbasi Anaraki, owners, editors-in-chief and CEOs ofleading Iranian news outlets, including BAMA publishing house, the Arman-e Emrooz daily, the Shahrvand newspaper, the Nasim newspaper and the Rossiya Segodnya russian information agency.
