SPGCC receives 1,000 bcm of South Pars gas in 19 years

SHANA The South Pars Gas Complex Company has received over 1,000 billion cubic meters of natural gas recovered from the supergiant South Pars Gas Field since its inauguration in 1998, SPGCC CEO said.

According to National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), SPGCC that operates South Pars refineries, has processed 900 bcm of sweet gas to the national gas trunklines over the period, besides injecting over 21 bcm of the item to petrochemical plants operating at Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ).

The company's CEO, Masoud Hassani says SPGCC has also sent over 118 bcm of sour gas to the IGAT-5 pipeline during these years.

SPGCC is also a supplier of sulfur and has so far produced 4.26 million tons of the item and has sold it on international markets.

The company has recently launched new refineries which have increased its ethane output by 42.1%.

SPGCC is a subsidiary of NIGC which was launched in 1998 in order to operate onshore South Pars facilities.
