VP: Iran to accept no obligation beyond JCPOA

IRNA Vice-President and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi said on Monday that senior officials have declared repeatedly that Iran does not accept any obligation beyond those of safeguards, JCPOA and additional protocol.

He told reporters elimination of problems by wisdom, has maintained Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and added that continuation of US political chaos will face the whole world with chaos, undoubtedly.

Concerning pouring cement in reactor, Salehi said that in a series of pipes, which were removed from their place because there were not useful anymore, we poured cement, but we have the same pipes and we do not pour cement in the main sector of reactor.

Salehi said the issue will be controlled next week in the presence of reporters, either foreign or domestic ones, so making scenario would not be worthy in this concern.

Iran and South Korea have signed a 8.5-billion-dollar contract to supply credits for projects and such contracts are underway with other countries, as well.

He said that the new US government intends to disrupt JCPOA implementation, and added that Iran has been committed to its all obligations and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is the sole body to comment on this issue.

Salehi stressed that Iran will not be beginner in violating JCPOA and in case of violation by the other side; Iran will take appropriate decisions in this concern.
