Shana -- Iran exported 36 million cubic meters of natural gas in the first 5 months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21, NIGC announced.

According to the figures released by the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), Iran exported an average of 36 mcm/d of natural gas in the first 5 months of the calendar year.

During the month of Mordad (July 23-August 23), NIGC exported 42 mcm/d of gas up from 39 mcm/d from the preceding month.

Also during the months of the Farvardin, Ordibehesht and Khordad (the first three month in the Iranian calendar), the country exported 35, 30 and 32 mcm/d of gas respectively.

Iran started exporting gas to neighboring Iraq in the month of Khordad (May 22-June 22, 2017).
