�IRNA - President Hassan Rouhani thanked Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Tuesday for what he has done during the past 4 years to safeguard national interests.


'I appreciate Dr. Zarf for his unique attempts' in both regional and international affairs, said President Rouhani while addressing Iranian Majlis (parliament) to defend his plans and proposed ministers.

On Zarif's regional attempts, President Rouhani said that the foreign minister and his team made a lot of efforts about Hajj issue with the Saudis and today Iranians can take part in the holy pilgrimage, and they also tried hard for the war in the region to abate.

On the international affairs, he referred to Iran-G5+1 deal, AKA the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and attracting of foreign investment.

President Rouhani expressed hope that the foreign ministry team would be able to undertake their responsibilities and safeguard the nuclear deal more strongly than before.
