August 3,�The Iran Project � An Iranian lawmaker says Astana Kazakhstan Expo 2017�is a proper opportunity to attract foreign investors in the country�s new energies�sector.

Speaking to a reporter on Thursday, Mohammad Reza Mansouri, head of the�Iranian Parliament's Committee�on new technologies said Astana EXPO 2017 is a great center that can show the capabilities of every country.

Iran�s pavilion at�Kazakhstan Expo 2017 could display achievements of the Islamic Republic in the new energies�sector, Mansouri added.

He also stressed Iran's long history of using natural energies, adding ancient Iranian civilization shows that how Iranian people turned the intense heat of the desert�sun into a cool wind.

Pointing to Iran�s abundant energy sources, especially oil and gas, he said but we should manage in a way that, in addition to preserving these traditional energies, be able to use new energies.

To this end, we need to invest in this field and this EXPO has provided a great opportunity to attract foreign investors in the new energy sector, the Iranian parliamentarian stated.

The Astana Kazakhstan Expo 2017 is the first�world expo initiated by central Asian countries to feature renewable energy development and green economy.
It opened on June 10 in Astana, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan and will last until September 10.
