IRNA – Recent successes of the Palestinian people in forcing the Zionists to remove the barriers around the Al-Aqsa mosque was the result of Palestinian nation resistance, Majlis Special Advisor for International Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian said on Monday.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) Ramadan Abdullah Shallah.

Amir Abdollahian declared Iran’s support for the Palestinian people and the resistance groups against the Zionist regime, adding, ‘The recent developments proved that resistance is the only option for the Palestinians to stand against the Zionist regime’s excessive demands.’

The official underlined importance of the unity of Islamic countries and the Palestinian groups against Zionist regime threats.

During the meeting, Shallah, for his part, thanked Iranian people and government for their supports, adding that the Islamic Republic has been always a pioneer of supporting the Palestinian nation and the resistance groups.

The recent successes in the Al-Aqsa mosque was the result of resistance of all Palestinians, including the Muslims and the Christians, he added.
