Trump should be given lesson on political politeness: MP

IRNA - US President Donald Trump should be given a lesson on political politeness for his failure to concede to the US obligations enshrined in Iran nuclear deal, signed by the country's former government and endorsed by the UN Security Council, senior Iranian MP says.

Chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi made the remarks in a local ceremony on Friday.

Other members of G5+1 are also opposed to the US measures regarding violation of the nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the US efforts are going to bear no results, Boroujerdi added.

Lawmakers in the Iranian Parliament will give firm response to the US anti-Iran measures, he said, referring to imposition of new sanctions by Washington against the Islamic Republic and Trump's call for inspection of Iran's military sites.

Iran is bound to its commitments to avoid developing nuclear bombs and Tehran is opposed to countries that build bombs against their commitments in the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), he noted.

The lawmaker said that the United States is top on the list of the countries, moving towards destruction of the world.

Missile power is the only deterrence power possessed by Iran and the Parliament supports the Defense Ministry and the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps' aerospace organization in this regard, Boroujerdi noted.

He went on to hail recent launching of Iran's satellite carrier, Simorgh (Phoenix), into the orbit, saying the launch was a strategic action, he said.
