MNA � Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has forwarded a message of congratulations to India's new President, Mr Ram Nath Kovind, who was sworn on July 25.


�The ancient and golden cultures and civilizations as well as the history of the heartfelt cooperation of Iran and India in the Asian continent have consistently made the development of bilateral interactions a strategic necessity for opening a new page in the two countries� relations,� President Rouhani said in his congratulatory letter to India's new President, Mr Ram Nath Kovind.

The Iranian President further expressed hope to witness a closer cooperation in various fields between the two countries during Mr. Nath�s presidency.

He also wished for further success and wellbeing of the Indian President and Indian people.
