�IRNA � The Islamic Republic of Iran�s authority has its roots in Islam, said the Chairman of Iran�s Assembly of Experts Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati.


�Before the Islamic Revolution, Iran was first under the influence of Britain and later the US, but with the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran gained an authority that our Western enemies, by imposing war and sanctions against us, were not able to weaken our country,� said Ahmad Jannati in a meeting with the members of Thailand's Constitutional Court on Monday.

Ayatollah Jannati, making a compare and contrast between Iran�s Assembly of Experts and Thailand's Constitutional Court of Thailand, hoped that the Thai delegation will get to know Islam and the Islamic Revolution during their stay in Iran.

�Our goal of this visit is to get acquainted with the good governance in Iran and we wish to know what principles have helped Iran achieve peace and stability in the chaotic region of the Middle East,� said the head of the Constitutional Court of Thailand expressing his pleasure with his visit to Iran.

�I sincerely believe that Islam has given Iran a power whcih has made it impossible for the enemies to stop the Islamic Republic,� he also added.
