Necessary safeguards in place to ward off possible aggressions: Commander

Lieutenant Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari

IRNA – Senior army commander says that Iran has observed necessary precautions to stand against any possible aggression by the enemy.

“There is no serious concern over the issue,” Commander of the Ground Forces of the Iranian Army Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari told reporters Sunday on the sidelines of a local meeting in the northeastern Iranian province.

“Nothing endangers Iran under present conditions, and nothing can threaten the country,” General Heidari said.

Iran’s Army Ground Forces are in full readiness, and they are increasing their combat capabilities day by day, the commander stressed.

He said that the Army forces are expected to conduct massive maneuvers in the second half of the current year (Iranian Calendar, started March 21).
