IRNA - US is now more isolated than the past, President of Expediency Discernment Council's Center for Strategic Research Ali Akbar Velayati said on Saturday.


He made the remarks in the opening ceremony for the 7th Islamic Film Market opened in Mashhad.

The resistance highway has started from Tehran and passes through Mosul, Beirut and Mediterranean region and will include sensitive regions with Muslim majority population, he noted.

The official said that US is trying to change regional developments, but it will only increase its isolation.

Muslims are not afraid of US President Donald Trump threats and they will expel them from Syria similar to what happened in Iraq, Velayati noted.

He hailed increase of consolidation among Yemeni people and noted that resistance chain is becoming powerful on a daily basis.

Velayati lauded the 7th Islamic Film Market role in increase of unity among Muslim states.

Daesh has its origins in Iraqi former dictator Saddam Baath Party and they want to take revenge for ouster of his regime, he added.
