IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is to deliver speech in opening session of ECFR Annual Council Meeting in Germany.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi told IRNA on Sunday.
The ECFR is a European think tank Institute, which has offices in seven European capitals, and was established in year 2007 and aims to do researches and scientific discussions concerning promotion of Europe foreign policy affect.
In past year meeting in Hague, capital of the Netherland, issues like ways to manage refugees’ crisis in Europe, position of Britain in Europe following Brexit referendum and way of NATO and European Union reaction to the so called ‘Russian threats’ were considered.
Qasemi added that during his visit to Germany, Zarif is to meet with President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel as well as minister of economy and discuss issues of mutual interests.
Meeting with representatives of German industrialists and big companies, participation in Korber Foundation meeting are also among other programs of Zarif in his German visit, Qasemi added.
The spokesman said that Zarif in his visit to Italy is to meet with parliament speaker, prime minister and foreign minister and will discuss bilateral relations and different regional and international issues with them.
Mohammad Javad Zarif is to depart Tehran for Berlin on Monday.
