IRNA - Chief of staff of the Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri said on Friday that collapse of the Zionist regime is imminent as submission to cruelty has no room in Islam and true Muslims always stay in the path of fight against oppression.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the International Quds Day rallies, Baqeri said triumph of the Islamic revolution gave a new spirit to the World Muslims.

World Muslims are getting stronger than before and will fight terrorists as fall of Zionists regime is imminent, Bagheri said.

International Quds Day indicates that all people are committed to the aspiration of the Islamic Revolution and are to vehemently defend holy Quds by all means, he said.

The International Quds Day was marked in Iran and other countries on Friday.

The day of anti-Zionist expression was first designated by late Imam Khomeini, the leader of Iran�s 1979 Islamic Revolution. The late Imam established the annual event in order to draw international attention to the Palestinian cause.

The Iranian demonstrators chanted anti-Israeli and anti-US slogans during the rallies.
