Quds occupying regime source of tension in West Asia: Foreign Ministry

IRNA -- Iranian Foreign Ministry in a statement on the occasion of annual Quds Day said that Quds occupying regime is the major source of crisis and tension in West Asia.

The statement urged all Muslim nations and freedom-seeking people of the world to attend the ceremonies held across the world to commemorate the Quds day.

It referred to 70 years of Israel regime's atrocities against Palestinians and noted that Zionist regime was the cause of wars in 1948, 1956, 1967, 1974, 1982 against Muslim and Arab countries of the region.

The Foreign Ministry statement reminded Zionist regime massacres in Lebanon and Palestine during 33 days and 22 days wars and called for unity among Muslims and cautioned them against Zionist regime plots for sewing discord in the Islamic World.

Zionist regime and their trans-regional allies are amusing the Islamic states with sectarian violence, it noted.

The statement said that unfortunately, some Islamic countries in West Asia by supporting Takfiri-terrorist groups and provoking tension in Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Bahrain serve the interests of Zionist regime.

Zionist regime is manipulating disagreements among Muslim states to speed up its anti-Palestinian measures, it added.

The Foreign Ministry statement said, hitting a blow to resistance movements in Palestine and Lebanon, pressuring people in Gaza and West Bank, arresting the Palestinian citizens and fighters, torturing the prisoners, developing the settlement construction, judaizing the holy Quds city and insulting and trying to ruin the Al-Aqsa Mosque are just parts of the Zionist regime's atrocities against Palestinians.
