IRNA - President of Expediency Discernment Council's Center for Strategic Research Ali Akbar Velayati said that the most independent country in the world has responded and will respond to ill-wishers, terrorists and enemies with authority anywhere they are.

Writing in his Instagram page on Monday, Velayati said that Iran�s security is insusceptible, adding that the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps� (IRGC) priceless and soft reaction to destroy Daesh (ISIS) terrorists� bases was a small part of Iran�s defensive and deterrent power that can be much more crushing.

He added that security, peace, development, and progress have materialized and continue to materialize under the Islamic establishment and with people�s support, wise leadership of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and strong will of the authorities.

The IRGC said in a statement on Sunday evening that six ground-to-ground mid-range missiles targeted Takfiri terrorists in Syria from IRGC�s bases in Kermanshah and Kordestan provinces, western Iran.

A large number of the terrorists are reported to be perished and their equipment and arms were destroyed.
