IRNA – With two Iranian wrestlers reaching the finals and five medals gained on the first day of the tournament, Iran’s Junior Wrestling Team became the champion of the competitions while the games are still underway.
According to the report of of Wresling Federarion, In the 50 kg weight category, Pooya Dadmarz defeated rivals from South Korea and Uzbekistan and reached final to fight a wrestler from Kazakhstan in the final game.
In the 120 kg weight category, Amir Mohammad Hajipoor defeated rivals from China (Taipei), Kyrgyzstan, and South Korea and reached final to face an Indian wrestler.
Junior Asian Wrestling Championship, Greco-Roman, is underway on Friday, as the second and final day of the tournament in Taichung city of Chinese Taipei.
Iran’s junior national team received three gold and two silver medals on Thursday.
