Leader slams US for destabilizing region

IRNA – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Monday lashed out at the US for creating the terrorist group of Daesh (ISIS), saying the region and its affairs do not concern the United States.

Addressing a group of the senior officials, Ayatollah Khamenei criticized US accusations against Iran’s Islamic establishment including those related to the issue of human rights, terrorism and destabilizing the region.

“The US is terrorist itself, a terrorist sponsor and an advocate of a regime such as the Zionist regime which is the mastermind of terrorism and was created with terror and oppression. Therefore, it is impossible to deal with the US,” said the Leader.

Ayatollah Khamenei added that the US and its agents are those who have destabilized the region, like what they did in the North Africa, West Asia, Syria and Iraq.

The Leader further noted that ensuring true national interests means to ensure those interests that are not against national and revolutionary identity of the nation.
