Zarif hold talks with Norwegian counterpart in Oslo

IRNA — Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is in Oslo, capital of Norway, held talks with his Norwegian counterpart Borge Brende here on Monday afternoon.

In the meeting, the two sides discussed issues concerning bilateral relations, international and regional issues.

They are due to attend a joint press conference following the meeting.

Zarif is also to meet his Indonesian counterpart and EU foreign policy Chief Federica Mogherini on Monday later in the afternoon.

The Iranian minister had met with Borge Brende in June 2016 in Oslo, when he had a European tour.

Brende also visited Tehran on August 18, 2016 and during that visit he had meetings with Zarif, President Hassan Rouhani and Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani and Head of Expediency Council Strategic Research Center Ali Akbar Velayati.
