Tehran attacks, made by agents of Iran’s enemies: Sunni cleric

IRNA – An Iranian Sunni cleric described the June 7 terrorist attacks in Tehran as a ‘cowardly’, ‘inhuman’ and ‘anti-Islam’ act carried out by the servants of the enemies of the Iranian nation.

Haj Qorban Mohammad Akhound Onaq, Friday prayers leader of Bandar Torkaman in this northeastern Iranian province, made the remarks while condemning the two terrorist attacks on late Imam Khomeini’s Mausoleum and Iran’s Majlis (Parliament) during which 17 Iranians were killed and 52 injured.

The Iranian people have stood against the enemies of the Islamic establishment, and will continue their way with the leadership of the Supreme Leader, the cleric said.

Those who are behind the Wednesday terrorist attacks aim in vain to show Islamic Iran insecure, he stressed.

The terrorist group of Daesh (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for the fatal attacks in Tehran.

Iran’s Intelligence Ministry declared that more terrorists involved in Tehran recent attacks have been identified and arrested.
