IRNA � The situation in Iranian parliament (Majlis) is under control, said an official after armed men opened fire in the parliament.


The parliament�s Cultural and Public Relations Director General Mahdi Kiaie said that the security forces and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps are controlling the situation.

He added that Majlis public session is underway in the parliament building.

Four men entered the parliament on Wednesday morning and opened fire, injuring 3 gaurds. One of the assailants was arrested, according to a memebr of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the parliament.

Interior Minister has called for an emergency security meeting to be held in Tehran.
