Iran, Belarus review ways to develop co-op

IRNA Iranian envoy to Belarus Mostafa Oveisi in separate meetings with Deputy Premier of Belarus Vladimir I. Semashko and Belarusian Minister of Industry Vitaly Vovk reviewed ways to promote bilateral cooperation.


In meeting with Semashko, Oveisi pointed to the three-fold increase in the volume of foreign trade between the two countries during the first three months of 2017, stressing on the Iranian governments efforts to develop all-out ties with Belarus.

Iranian ambassador also appreciated Belarusian organizations cooperation in holding Irans 12th presidential elections (May 19).

Based on the roadmap signed between Iran and Belarus, both countries have targeted an increase in the value of economic relations from $75 million to $250 m per year by the end of 2017.

Meanwhile, Semashko congratulated President Hassan Rouhani re-election as Irans president and expressed hope for further ties between the two countries.
