IRNA � President Hassan Rouhani arrived in the city of Hamedan on Sunday night to inaugurate Tehran-Hamedan railway.

The railway connecting Tehran to Hamedan will be inaugurated on Monday.

The executive plan for the 268 km-railway project was approved during the visit by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei to the western province in 2004.

Rouhani is also scheduled to address the people of Hamedan later in the day.
