Iraqi minister invites Iranian companies to reconstruct his country

IRNA- Iraqs Labor and Social Welfare Minister invited Iranian companies to invest and work in his country's reconstruction process.


Noting that Iraqi officials insist on manufacturing the country, Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani told reporters on Wednesday that Iranian companies were invited to participate in joint projects and joint investing ventures in Iraq.

He pointed to Iraqs support for domestic production as a main reason for customs tax exemption for the Arab League member- states, and expressed hope that Iranian companies also take part in construction projects in Iraq and invest in the country, particularly in industry sector.

Head of Mostazafan foundation Mohammad Saeedi Kia in the meeting elaborated on abilities of the affiliate companies of the foundation in different fields, including housing and building, road construction, food industries, sewage system, and building materials.

He pointed out that Iranian companies are eagerly inclined to cooperate with the Iraqi sides in their construction projects.

Saeedi Kia reassured the Iraqi minister that Mostazafan Foundation with all its experience and capabilities is ready to play a role in reconstruction projects, especially in regions recaptured from terrorist groups, as well as contributing to restoring production and industrial units.

Saeedi Kia arrived in Baghdad on Wednesday morning and before meeting with Iraqs Labor and Social Welfare Minister, held talks with the countrys Construction and Housing Minister.
