Iran slams terror attack in Pakistan

MNA Iran strongly condemned the Friday terrorist attack in a market in northwestern Pakistan which left at least 24 people killed and 68 others injured, according to local media. The powerful blast hit the busy Noor market in town of Parachinar near the Afghan border, leaving at least 24 people dead and 68 others injured. No one has yet claimed responsibility for the bombing.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi while strongly condemning the terrorist attack, expressed his deepest sympathy to the Pakistani government, nation and families of victims of this heinous terrorist act.

As long as the language of force, slaughter and massacre is used instead oflogic and dialogue by certain countries to obtain their own sinister goals, and as long as a few number of regional states see their interests in expanding insecurity, terrorism and extremism, there will be no hope of removing this cancerous tumor that is terrorism, Bahram Ghasemi said in a statement on Friday.

No doubt the perpetrators and promoters of violence and terror will pay a heavy price for their heinous acts, he added.

Ghasemi went on to stress, the cure for terrorism in the region and the world is but an iron will to cut the financial and ideological funding for sponsors of terrorism and extremism as well as a collective collaboration from all governments across the globe for a sincere fight against this scourge.
