Iran enjoying highest level of security in region: Interior Minister

Tasnim – Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli praised the security conditions in the country, saying thanks to the unity among people, the Islamic Republic’s security is at the highest level in the restive Middle East region.

Speaking at a gathering of Iranian police officials in Tehran on Monday, Rahmani Fazli hailed the country’s conditions in various fields as “desirable”.

“Thank God, we have been able to turn political and military pressures into opportunities in the international arena,” he noted.

“Also in the internal arena, we have the highest security in the region as acknowledged by (Iran’s) friends and foes,” the minister noted.

He further emphasized that the Islamic Republic is enjoying a sustainable security based on the unity of the Iranian people which is well-known in the region despite their ethnic and geographic diversity.

Iran is considered by many experts as the “island of stability” in a region which faces many security challenges.

In August 2016, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei highlighted the strong security in Iran despite crises and insecurity in the region.

“Thank God and through the appreciated efforts and endeavors of the military and security forces, the country enjoys a strong security shield while regional countries are filled with incidents and insecurity,” the Leader said.
