IRNA - President Hassan Rouhani met his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the 13th ECO Summit in Islamabad on Wednesday and discussed bilateral ties and regional developments.

Both sides on the occasion stressed the need to further enhance bilateral cooperation in all sectors and reiterated to boost the close friendly ties.

In the meeting, both leaders discussed global and regional developments, fight against terrorism and new developments emerging in the Middle East.

President Rouhani reached Pakistan on Tuesday to participate in the 13th ECO Summit in Islamabad.

Earlier the Iranian President while addressing the opening session of the summit called for enhancing economic cooperation between the ECO member states adding that the ECO needs restructuring.
