Iran's top security official dismisses reports on meeting Saudi FM

FNA- Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani rejected media reports claiming that he has met Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir in Baghdad.

"I reject any such report," Shamkhani told FNA reporter in Tehran on Monday.

Asked about Jubeir's recent remarks against Iran and his question why no terrorist operation is conducted against Iran, Shamkhani underlined the high vigilance of the Iranian security forces and people as the reason why terrorists have failed to conduct such attacks in Iran, and said in Iran there is no safe haven for any one to create and nurture the terrorist groups.

"Saudi Arabia and the terrorists can carry out blasts and terrorist acts in places where they have been nurtured."

He said terrorist operations are carried out in countries in which the terrorists live, have educated, receive training and missions for terrorist acts to take revenge for political differences.

These countries dont have an integrated nation or ruling system and lack a proper security system to fight against terrorism, Shamkhani added.

In relevant remarks earlier this month, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi blasted Saudi and Israeli officials for making allegations against Iran, and said the animosity by Riyadh and Tel Aviv is no coincidence.

"Many evidence and facts point to the coordination and collaboration between these two regimes on regional cases, and they both attempt to provoke the international atmosphere against our country as a means to compensate for their numerous failures and defeats, Qassemi said in a statement last Monday.

The Iranian foreign ministry spokesman said that of course, the discourse used by these two accomplices in fight against oppressed people of the region is nothing but a repetitive discourse which indicates a painful desperation and despair.

"What is more deplorable is that the Zionist official has so clearly counted on the collaboration of a Muslim country for advancing its usual anti-Iranian policies, he said.

The Iranian foreign ministry spokesman said that the repetition of a baseless and absurd claim by Saudi Arabias foreign minister about the sources of terrorism and ISIL supporters can never allow the ideological, educational, financial and intelligence ties between the Saudi regime and the terrorists whose crimes against innocent people of the region and the world are known to all be forgotten.
