No rise in home prices

Financial Tribune- House prices have not increased in the past four years and that is not expected to change in the foreseeable future, said the minister of roads and urban development.

We had 650,000 empty housing units back in 2007 and in order to make these houses sellable, inflation should remain low and further price rises should be prevented, Abbas Akhoundi was also quoted as saying by Banker.ir.

The Central Bank of Irans Monthly Trends in Tehran Housing Market, published earlier this month, shows that the average price per square meter of housing units in the capital reached 44.9 million rials ($1,400) during the Iranian month of Dey (started December 21, 2016), recording a 9.9% and 4.1% growth year-on-year and on previous month respectively.
