Iranian Armed Forces equipped with most advanced technologies: Official

Tasnim– Iranian Deputy Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami highlighted the country’s military capabilities and said the Armed Forces have been equipped with state-of-the-art technologies in defense fields.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has managed to create effective deterrence against enemies at a very low cost through reliance upon the capabilities of domestic experts, General Hatami said in a speech on Saturday.

The Defense Ministry has created a very strong barrier against enemies “by equipping the Armed Forces with the latest and most-advanced defense technologies”, he said.

Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the commander commended the Iranian people’s massive participation in the Friday rallies marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution and said the people once again proved their steadfast commitment to the revolution’s causes.

Iranians took to the streets on Friday for nationwide rallies marking the 38th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

People in capital Tehran, more than 1,000 other cities and towns, and 4,000 villages attended the rallies with flags of Iran and banners in support of the Islamic Republic.

In the capital, enthusiastic demonstrators marched across 10 main routes to reach the Azadi (Liberty) Square to cherish the memory of the Islamic Revolution victory.
