IRNA � Iran is a kind neighbor and an old partner for the Russian Federation, Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, said on Monday.

Lavrov made the remark in a message to a forum in commemoration of 515 years of historical relations between Iran and Russia.

�We admire the constructive relations between Iran and Russia, which is based on the equal rights of nation�s principle, mutual respect, friendship and trust.�

The Russian foreign minister noted, �We are satisfied with the progressive development of cooperation between Iran and Russia in all fields, including foreign policy, defense, economy and culture. �

According to the agreements reached between the leaders of our governments, we are committed to continue joint cooperation for boost of bilateral ties, Lavrov added.

He underlined commitment of Iran and Russia to find effective responses to global and regional crises and problems, including international terrorism and extremism.

The official stressed the Tehran-Moscow cooperation to resolve Syria crisis through political ways.
