Iran, Russia, Turkey reiterate commitment to fighting Daesh, al-Nusra front
Sputnik News- The draft joint statement by Iran, Russia, Turkey on the Astana talks reiterates the countries determination to fight Daesh and Jabhat Fatah Al-Sham, formerly known as al-Nusra Front, in Syria, the Al Jazeera broadcaster reported citing the document.

This is the first time, when Damascus and the armed opposition sit together atthe negotiating table sincethe start ofthe conflict inthe Arab country. Kazakh side expects the meeting tolast throughTuesday.

"Iran, Russia and Turkey reiterate their determination tofight jointly againstISIL/DAESH and Al-Nusra [Front] and toseparate fromthem armed opposition groups," the draft reads asquoted bythe media outlet.

The final document ofthe Astana talks onSyria envisages the establishment ofa trilateral mechanism tomonitor the ceasefire inthe country, according tothe document.

The delegations ofIran, Russia and Turkey "decide to [consider the establishment] establish a trilateral mechanism toobserve and ensure full compliance withthe ceasefire, prevent any provocations and determine all modalities ofthe ceasefire."

The Syrian government and the armed opposition are negotiating behindthe closed doors. Damascus delegation is set tospeak first, followed bythe armed opposition, Russia, Iran, Turkey, the United States and the United Nations.
