MP: Muslim solidarity leaves no place for Israel

IRNA – Head of Majlis Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Saturday that Muslim solidarity leaves no space for the Zionist regime in the Middle East.

He made the remarks in a meeting with representatives from different Palestinian groups residing in Lebanon.

He said that the occupying regime must withdraw from the Palestinian territories and the state of Palestine must undertake administration of the Palestinian territories.

A group of Iranian MPs are accompanying Boroujerdi.

The meeting took place at Iran’s embassy in Beirut on Friday evening in presence of Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Fathali.

The two sides reviewed the desperate humanitarian situation in the occupied Palestinian territories destroying houses of the Palestinian people in light of the Israeli expansionist goals.

The United Nations Security Council passed a Resolution late December demanding Israel stop construction of jewish settlements on the Palestinian territories.

Boroujerdi said that enemies of Islam attempted to sow discord in countries of the region and do their utmost to deviate nations from Palestine motto.

He strongly condemned the Islamic countries for cooperation with businessmen from the Zionist regime.

Four representatives from Palestinian groups expressed their views and appreciated Iran’s support to the Palestinian resistance movement, nation.

The Palestinian officials underlined campaign against the Zionist occupation.

The Iranian parliamentary delegation arrived in Lebanon on Thursday evening through land border between Syria and Lebanon.

The delegation met with parliamentary representative of Hezbollah of Lebanon Mohammad Raad.

Boroujerdi and accompanying delegation met with Lebanese President Michel Aoun on Saturday morning and due to meet with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri later in the day.
