Over 109 bcm of gas recovered from S. Pars joint reservoir

IRNA Some 109, 496,000,000 cubic meters of gas was recovered from the South Pars joint reservoir and refined in S. Pars refineries in the first three quarters of the current Iranian calendar year (started on March 20, 2016), it was reported on Friday.


According to Managing Director of the South Pars Gas Complex Masoud Hassani, the figure showed a 22.7% growth compared with the same period last year, the South Pars Gas Complex reported.

Hassani said that 63% of Iran's gas is produced in the South Pars refineries.

'Over 87.6 billion cubic meters of gas have been sweetened in the South Pars refineries since the beginning of the current Iranian calendar year,' said the official.

He noted that during the period, over 141 million barrels of gas condensates were also produced in the South Pars refineries showing a 16% growth compared with the same period last year.
