Dy FM: JCPOA, breakthrough for Iranian economic diplomacy

IRNA Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi said on Monday that implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action accounts for a breakthrough for Iranian economic diplomacy.

He made the remarks in his speech to the 14th International Conference on Management.

Sarmadi said that absence of implementation of JCPOA would have reduced Iranian oil export to 225,000 bpd last September.

Sarmadi said that implementation of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and lifting the sanctions opened many economic routes for the country and today Iran is witnessing growth of oil output and export.

He said that JCPOA did not open all routes which were under sanctions and there still exist some obstacles.

Removal of major obstacles of finance, shipment of goods, transport, passenger, science and technology opened by JCPOA or are opening.

He said that the Foreign Ministry aims to develop economic relations with other countries and encourage foreign investment in Iran with active economic diplomacy.
