Sputnik- The UN Security Council came up on Sunday with a "good text" of the draft resolution on the deployment of UN observers to Syrian Aleppo and the vote will take place on Monday, according to Russian envoy to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin.

UNITED NATIONS (Sputnik) The UN Security Council came upon Sunday witha "good text" ofthe draft resolution onthe deployment ofUN observers toSyrian Aleppo and the vote will take place onMonday, Russian envoy tothe United Nations Vitaly Churkin said.

"We've put insome good hours ofwork and have a good text, and we agreed tovote onit tomorrow morning," Churkin told reporters. Speaking toreporters afterChurkin, French Ambassador tothe UN Francois Delattre said members ofthe Security Council worked in "good spirit" and agreed onthe whole text.

Some members needed toreport totheir capitals prior tothe vote, which was why it was scheduled forMonday morning. "We have found common ground, aswe speak, fora draft, forthe entire draft, based onthe French text," Delattre said.

"Hopefully well have a positive vote." US Permanent Representative tothe UN Samantha Power said Washington hoped that onMonday the UN Security Council would vote unanimously infavor ofthe draft resolution onmonitoring inAleppo. On Sunday, the UN Security Council held consultation todiscuss the modalities ofevacuations inSyrian Aleppo, including the deployment ofobservers onthe ground.
