Qasemi: Israel regime aims to ruin relations among Islamic states

IRNA Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said on Monday that the Zionist regime spares no efforts to ruin friendly relations among Islamic states and its existence will be very destructive for the region.

Speaking in his weekly press briefing, he said the current visit of the Zionist regime premier Benjamin Netanyahu to the republic of Azerbaijan will be very detrimental.

Netanyahu's visit to Azerbaijan is a domestic issue, but, 'we see the destructive and certain behavior form the fabricated regime detrimental to the regional states with an aim to ruin relations among the brotherly Islamic countries, he said.

'We believe that the Azeri government should have avoided to invite him as the Zionist regime lack goodwill and is seeking to ruin relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and other Islamic countries,' he said.

The Republic of Azerbaijan is an independent country and make independent decision but it should exercise vigilance and avoid being trapped into the plots sets by the Zionist regime, he said.

Iran's stand toward the regional developments is crystal clear and the country has not changed its policy, he said.

Iran has designated new ambassadors for Syria and Muscat and will send them to the countries of mission, he said.

On recent allegations made by British prime minister, he said the Iranian foreign ministry has recalled British top diplomat in Tehran twice to protest to London government over allegations the UK prime minister Theresa May made against Iran, he said.
