Vice president for women off to Norway

IRNA - Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs Shahindokht Molaverdi heading a delegation departed here for Oslo, Norway, on Sunday morning.

The departure is taking place at the invitation of the Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Borge Brende.

During his three-day stay in Norway, Molaverdi will hold several meetings with the officials in that country.

Molaverdi's Norwegian visit will be an ample opportunity for continuation of political consultations between Tehran and Oslo.

Promoting the quality and quantity of bilateral ties, making endeavors to diversify issues of mutual interests and exchanging experiences in the areas of women and family are among the goals of Molaverdi's trip to Oslo.

In Norway, the Iranian vice-president will also meet minister of foreign affairs and minister of children and equality as well as the head of the committee on family and cultural affairs in that country.
