IRNA � President Hassan Rouhani said on Saturday that there is no way other than convergence to save the Muslim world.

The president made the remarks during a meeting of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei with a number of Iranian officials and foreign guests on the auspicious birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

Voicing concern over the grave security condition across the region and the entire Muslim world, Rouhani reaffirmed Iran's commitment to stand by the oppressed nations in the face of terrorism.

'It is surprising that some Islamic states are upset about victories of the nations and their legitimate governments against terrorism and it seems that they are worried about the achievements of the Iraqi and Syrian people and armies against the terrorists,' the president said.

'Today we are witnessing that certain Islamic states are concerned about the destiny of terrorists, instead of doing something for the Syrians and especially the injured people in Aleppo.'
