Sputnik- Tehran and Moscow are likely to establish a joint venture on manufacturing helicopters in Iran.

MOSCOW (Sputnik)�� Russia and Iran are about�to start a joint venture on�manufacturing helicopters as�Iranian market welcomes Russian production, Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, Iran's Minister of�Industry, Mine and Trade, said Tuesday.

"We are ready to�establish a joint venture on�manufacturing helicopters in�Iran, our market has a positive attitude toward�Russian production," Nematzade said, as�quoted on�the Russian Energy Ministry's Twitter.

Earlier on�Tuesday, Russian Industry and Trade Deputy Minister Georgy Kalamanov said Iran and Russia had been discussing production and supplies of Ansat and Ka-226 helicopters. Ansat, multipurpose light twin-engine turbine helicopter, can be used for�the carriage of�goods and passengers, as�well as�for surveillance, search and rescue missions and medical evacuation.
