No rise in petrol price next year: Min.

SHANA Iran says there will be no rise of fuel prices next fiscal year and that the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum has so far made no decisions in this regard.

According to the Iranian Parliament's official website, Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh has said no price rise has been envisioned in the next year's budget bill by Rouhani Administration that was submitted to the parliament for deliberation and endorsement last week.

"The Administration may take any decision it must with regard to gasoline price but the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum has made no decisions regarding fuel prices for the next fiscal year (beginning on March 21 2017)," said the official.

Iran recently launched the distillation unit of Persian Gulf Star Refinery.

Once operational the facility's first phase will render Iran needless of any gasoline imports. The gasoline unit of the refinery is scheduled to become operational by the calendar yearend to March 20 2017.

The refinery's distillation unit can process 120,000 barrels/day of gas condensate supplying 12 million liters of Euro-4 petrol, 4.5 ml of gasoil, 1 ml of kerosene and 300,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
