NIDC drills 40 wells in South Azadegan oil field

SHANA- Director of the South Azadegan oil field drilling project in National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC), Manouchehr Assadi, says the drilling operations on 40 oil wells in the field have shown 91 percent progress.

Assadi said his company had drilled more than 140,000 meters inside the ground for the sake of 40 wells.

Eight heavy onshore drilling rigs of the NIDC have been applied for drilling the wells, said the official.

Once the Chinese company was discharged of developing South Azadegan field and as early as the Iranian year of 1393 (2014-15), drilling of 40 wells in the field was entrusted to the NIDC by the Petroleum Development and Engineering Company (PDEC).

Noting that the project for repair and completion of three oil wells in South Azadegan field has been entrusted to the NIDC, the official said out of 43 wells, 30 are completed, finalized and put at the disposal of the employer.

The NIDC is now busy drilling in South Yaran and Azar fields, phase 14 of South Pars, and onshore part of Kish gas field in EPDS method.
