Iran top military official meets ‘PAF’ Chief, discusses mutual cooperation

IRNA – In his continued meetings with different Pakistani military officials, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces met with Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Chief in Karachi and discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in defense sector.

The meeting between Brigadier General Mehdi Rabbani and Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman took place on the sidelines of Pakistan International Defense Exhibition in Karachi.

Sohail Aman gave warm welcome to the Iranian dignitary and both sides on the occasion reiterated crucial role of air force in strengthening and bringing stability in each country.

The PAF chief briefed Brigadier General Mehdi Rabbani about Zarb-e-Azb anti-terrorism military operation and the brilliant role of Pakistan Air Force in fight against terror.

Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces praised the role of PAF in anti-terrorism operation.

Both sides also stressed the need for exchange of experience between the two neighborly and friendly countries.

Iranian delegation arrived in Karachi on Tuesday to participate in the 9th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS 2016).

The defense industries of some countries including Pakistan, Turkey, China, Russia, as well as North American, South American, European, and Asian countries are present at the exhibition. There are 418 firms from 34 countries participating in the event, out of which 157 are Pakistani firms.
