Iran mercantile exchange weekly trade exceeds $363mln

FNA- The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) announced that around $363.2mln of various commodities weighting over 748,292 tons were traded in its domestic trading and exports halls in the past working week (Nov 12-17).

The IME said that over 231,719 tons of various oil and petrochemical products, including 68,459 tons of bitumen, 58,680 tons of polymer products, 42,000 tons of VB, 25,000 tons of lube cut-oil, 17,765 tons of chemical products, 18,440 tons of sulfur and 1,375 tons of insulation with the total value of $118mln were traded in its domestic and exports halls during the last week.


Moreover, on the agricultural trading floor of IME, 31,650 MT of various commodities worth over 7.6 million USD were traded. On this trading floor, 25,350 MT of feed barley, 50 MT of sugar and 6,250 MT of wheat were traded by the customers.


Moreover, 31,650 tons of various commodities, including 25,350 tons of feed barley, 50 tons of sugar and 6,250 tons of wheat with total worth of $7.6mln were traded by the customers in the agricultural trading hall of IME in last week.


Also, 483,125 tons of metal and mineral products, including, 360,805 tons of steel products, 6,540 tons of copper, 110,000 tons of granulated iron ore and 120 tons of molybdenum concentrate and 4,660 tons of aluminum with the total value of 263mln were traded in the IME domestic and exports halls in the last week.


The IME was established on September 20, 2007 in accordance with article 95 of the new la of the Securities Market of the Islamic Republic of Iran and following the merger of the agricultural and metal exchanges of Tehran. The merger marked a new chapter in Iran capital market providing endless trading opportunities for the clients in and out of the country.
