Iran condemns suicide bombing attack to mourning ceremony in Kabul

IRNA Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi on Monday strongly condemned terrorist attacks on mourning ceremony in Kabul and said growth and expansion of terrorism in the region is the source of concern.

Qasemi on Monday strongly condemned the terrorist move committed by Takfiri groups in one of the mosques in Kabul, claiming lives of many civilians and injuring dozens of others.

He expressed sympathy with the bereaved families of the victims.

Growth of terrorism is source of concern and this will not be eradicated without global convergence, he said.

Overt and covert supports of some countries in the region for Takfiri-terrorist groups and instrumental use of them to attain their sinister goals are the route cause of extremism in the region, he said.

Sooner or later such warmongering and seditions will backfire to the terrorists' supporters, he said.

Some 27 civilians attained martyrdom and 35 sustained injuries in a terrorist attack on Bagher al-ulum mosque in Kabul.

In a related news, Iran's embassy in Kabul issued a statement to condemn the terrorists' move, that claimed lives of many civilians.
