IRNA An Iranian official said on Thursday that 600 reporters and cameramen from all over the world are to cover live the Arbaeen mourning ceremony to be held in the Iraqi city of Karbala on November 20.

Mohammad-Ali Anousheh, director of the information committee on Arbaeen, told IRNA that several websites have also been established to provide news and information about the major religious event in the cities of Karbala and Najaf.

Reporters from Iran, Lebanon, Turkey, Kuwait, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Britain, Azerbaijan and the US have been sent to Iraq to cover the Arbaeen ceremony, the official added.

Each year, millions of pilgrims, mainly from Iraq and Iran, travel long routes on foot to Karbala, where the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) is located.
