Zarif expresses concern over spread of violence, extremism in region

IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif said on Tuesday that spread of violence and extremism in the region is very regrettable.

Zarif made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Zimbabwean Deputy Foreign Minister Joey Bimha in Tehran on Tuesday.
In the meeting, Zarif praised the anti-colonial policy of Zimbabwe.

Zarif also voiced Iran’s readiness to put the country’s enviable experiences at the disposal of Zimbabweans, he said.

He expressed the hope that Iran and Zimbabwe will make use of the existing capabilities to broaden mutual cooperation.

They also exchanged views on various political and economic issues mainly in the field of agriculture.

The Zimbabwean envoy, for his part, said his country attaches importance to expansion of cooperation with Iran and is to benefit from Iran’s experiences and capabilities in various fields.
