Saudi King Salman’s brother dies at 83

The brother of Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has died at the age of 83 in Riyadh.

Prince Turki bin Abdulziz’s death was announced on Saturday via a royal statement published on Saturday by the official Saudi Press Agency.

It noted that Salman would be receiving condolences for the next three days.

Born in 1934, Prince Turki was a son of the kingdom’s founder, King Abdulaziz bin Saud and served as deputy minister of defense from 1968 to 1978.

Photos of a tearful King Salman, leading funeral prayers for his late brother, have appeared online.
