Beirut, Nov 10, IRNA � Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Jaberi Ansari underlined that the recent consensus among Lebanon's political parties over election of new president in that country has positively influenced the Lebanon and the region and it can be a good model for resolving the regional crises.

'This agreement is a good example for resolving the regional crises through political dialogue and also for agreement among political and social groups of countries that are suffering from the current crises,' Jaberi Ansari said.

He underlined that right from the beginning Iran believed that the only way for resolving the crises of election Lebanese president is through consensus among Lebanon's political groups.

'Some countries were looking for resolving Lebanon's crisis through exerting pressures on the candidates and political groups from outside, but the Islamic Republic of Iran was against such proposals right from the beginning and believed that the only solution is internal consensus among the Lebanese groups,' Jaberi Ansari said.
